Terry
Hamilton is the HDI LA CHAPTER
ANALYST OF THE
YEAR!
On Wednesday,
December 3rd,
the HDI Los
Angeles’
chapter’s held
our
first Annual
“Analyst of the
Year” Awards
Banquet and
Holiday Party at
The Doubletree
Hotel in
Torrance.
With the
generous support
of our
vendor-sponsors,
the event was a
sparkling
tribute to
customer service
excellence as exemplified
by our 3
nominees.
The evening
included a
cocktail hour
where the 70+
attendees
shared hors
d'oeuvers and
networking, followed
by a
sit-down dinner.
During dessert,
Brandon Caudle,
author
of "Customer
Service Voo-doo",
shared some
personal stories
of how life's
happenstances
lead to
important
lessons in
customer
service.
Then followed
the presentation
of the Analyst
of the Year
Award. The 3
nominees were:
Reggie Ferguson
- EnPointe
Global Services
Terry Hamilton
- Memorial Care
Seibu "Oliver"
Umehara -
Pioneer
Strategic
Business
Services
In the weeks
prior to the
Awards Banquet,
the nominees'
nominations,
submitted by
their direct
supervisors,
were reviewed by
the following
panel of judges:
Rudy Gallegos -
BP
David Morgan -
Grancell,
Lebovitz,
Stander
Christi Thomson
- Port of Los
Angeles
After reviewing
the nominations,
the Nominees
were scheduled
to have a 15-30
minute
conference call
with the Board
of Judges.
After this, the
judges completed
the scoring and
the winner was
determined.
Each of the
nominees were
introduced by
their nominating
Supervisor who
regaled us with
stories of how
each of these
individuals have
raised the bar
on customer
service within
their
organizations. We
are pleased to
announce that
Terry Hamilton
of Memorial Care
was our winner,
and the
recipient of a
plaque declaring
his excellence
and several
gifts through
the generosity
of our
Sponsors. Terry
will be
representing the
LA Chapter in
the Regional
competition.
After the 1st of
the year, Terry
will go through
a very similar
process,
competing
against other
Analyst of the
Year Chapter
winners in the
Western Region.
Should Terry be
the Regional
Winner, (and
we're all
confident he
will WOW those
judges as well
as he did ours),
he will be going
to the National HDI Conference
in April at the
Mandalay Bay
Resort, all
expenses paid.
Join all of us
in wishing Terry
the best as he
progresses
through the
competition
process.
If you weren't
able to join us
or didn't
nominate anyone
this year, 2009
is a great
opportunity!
